Pet Photography at Raleigh Little Theatre Rose Garden

Raleigh’s RLT Rose Garden is one of my favorite places for pet photography sessions. This rose garden literally feels like something out of a fairy tale! If you love flowers (and dogs posing with flowers) I would highly recommend the Raleigh Little Theatre Rose Garden for our portrait session together.

The RLT rose garden is located at 301 Pogue Street, Raleigh, NC 27607.Learn more about the rose garden HERE.

The peak bloom times for the roses are in May and June but the garden looks beautiful throughout the bloom season.

The Raleigh Little Theater also has a beautiful outdoor amphitheater. This location is perfect for picnics too. So if you and your dog wanted to enjoy some doggy ice cream while sitting on a blanket then this would be the perfect backdrop to do just that!

What to Know Before you Visit the Rose Garden

During peak season and peak times the rose garden can get a bit crowded. If your dog is wary of other people or dogs then this may not be the best location for you. If you really have your heart set on a pet photograph session at the Raleigh Little Theatre Rose Garden then it would be best to set your session time for super early in the morning.

Be aware of parking. Most of the main parking lot near the theater is reserved for members only. Depending on the day of the week and time parking may be a bit challenging. The Raleigh Little Theatre Rose Garden is situated within a neighborhood. Most of the parking is on side streets.

The traffic around the garden itself is not heavy, however getting to the rose garden may require a bit of walking. If your dog has mobility issues consider bringing them a wagon to cruise around in.

Reasons Why I Love the Raleigh Little Theatre Rose Garden

1) This location is absolutely gorgeous. In full bloom it definitely gives off fairy tale vibes!

2) For a rose garden there is a wide variety of photo opportunities. There are beautiful flowers, pants, and textures that will result in a varied portrait session for you and your pup!

3) The photo opportunities are in a short walking distance from each other once you enter the rose garden.
