Paws Fur Joy's origin story:

Some things feel too precious to capture in a photograph. The way your dog sighs when they finally settle beside you. The thump of a tail that says you're home. The quiet lean that happens when no one else is watching.

I built Paws Fur Joy to celebrate exactly that.

I'm Abby, a licensed therapist, certified animal Reiki practitioner, mindfulness guide, and lifelong dog lover. But this business didn't start with credentials. It started with a question.

In 2019, recovering from heart surgery, I asked myself: if I could do anything at all, what would it be? The answer came instantly: pet photography.

I had always shown up to dog events with my camera, completely lost in the feeling of connecting to a dog's soul through my lens. That spark of joy, that moment suspended in time, that experience told me everything I needed to know.

What I've built since then goes far beyond beautiful photos. Having loved and said goodbye to senior dogs of my own, I understand that the bond between you and your pet is one of the most quietly profound relationships of your life.

Every session I offer, from mindfulness-rooted portrait sessions to gentle Reiki support for aging or anxious pets, is designed to honor that bond in full.
