We believe your pet is an important member of your family. At Paws Fur Joy Photography we include artwork in every package. Your pets are family members and deserve to be showcased in your home. I specialize in creating timeless, hierloom- quality artwork that will last for generations.
"Abby is an amazing photographer! She did such a great job photographing me my husband and all 3 of our dogs."
She was able to capture all of their personalities in a short time. Abby is super patient and amazing with dogs – one of ours is nervous in new situations and she took her time and let him get comfortable. Could not recommend her more!!!”
Jenna S.
"Abby really brought out my dog’s personality and was so patient."
Abby is amazing! I’d never taken pictures with my dog Greg before and was a little nervous at first but Abby was so sweet and put me right at ease. From cute props to water bowls and dog treats – she had thought of everything! She went above and beyond to make this a great experience for my dog and I! If you want beautiful pictures of your dog look no further.”

"Abby was amazing with Luna..easing her into the photo shoot..."
My pup and I just finished up a session with Abby and it went wonderfully! My dog, Luna, is very shy and has difficulty feeling comfortable around new people. Abby was amazing with Luna, easing her into the photo shoot and making sure she felt at home in the surroundings."

It's more than just a photoshoot...it's a celebration of the gifts your pet has given you.
Your pet sets the pace of the session. If they need breaks or extra time to warm up, no problem at all!
Our sessions are a relaxed pace. Rest assured that it only takes me a split to get a portrait. Even an obedience school class clown can be a cover pup! You'll be amazed at what your dog can do.
I feel it is important to make the sessions with your pup feel like a game and that they are having fun. We'll have plenty of play an cuddle breaks!
We’ll meet virtually or in-person for no-obligation consultation. We'll schedule a phone or zoom session so that I can get to know more about you and your pet and for us to see if we are a good fit.
Your dog sets the pace for the session. I don’t watch the clock so if your dog needs more time to warm up or a few breaks then you are in the right place. I’ll direct you on posing and how to hold the leash. I’ll be sure to show you a few photos in the camera so you can see how awesome your dog is doing.
Your pets are works of art. They deserve to be displayed lovingly in your home rather than lost in a file folder on a computer. After our fun portrait session we will set up a time where you get to view your images. I have an easy process to help you select your images and choose the artwork.
Every package includes a 60-minute photo session planning call. This is when we will discuss the location, the subjects that will be involved and everything about your session!
The fun part! Making sure all of our subjects (four legged and two legged!) are comfortable and happy, so we can capture those impactful images for your brand!
Once your digital images are delivered, I'll go through all of the options available to you for products.
each gallery gives a glimpse into a few of our recent sessions.
Your dog’s safety is my top priority. I always require you to keep your dog on leash in a public space with no fence around. No worries! As you can see I’ve harnessed the magic of Photoshop; problem solved!

Answer
While most of my work focuses on cats and dogs I will certainly photograph any pet! All pets deserve a proper portrait!
No worries! I have experience photographing dogs of all energy levels and obedience levels. I’m super patient and have several tricks up my sleeve to get your pet to look at the camera. We will definitely be able to get a range of fun shots that showcase your pet’s personality and soul shine!
This does not keep me from being able to get beautiful images of your fur baby.During our session my TOP priority is your pets’ comfort and safety. I am very patient and let your pet set the pace of the session. I have tricks that can get your pets’ attention (ex: visual toys to get attention, extra smelly treats, and noise makers).
Sessions can take place in a location of your choice in the triangle area. This can include your home, dog friendly businesses, urban areas, and local parks. If you aren’t sure, no worries! I have plenty of suggestions for you!
During our consultation we will discuss locations that fit the style and look you have for your photos. Any driving distance outside of 45 minutes from my home will incur an extra fee.
Absolutely! I love capturing the love between pets and their people! While I do include family members in your photos, please know that your fur baby will be the star!
Don't worry - you don’t have to be in the photos! However, I do recommend stretching outside your comfort zone and joining in; pet parents are often pleasantly surprised! I have a lot of ideas in which pet parents are “in but not in” the photo. For example, clients often love images with their dog’s head peeking over their shoulder during a hug!
Yes, absolutely! In fact for on location sessions I will insist that your dog is on a leash. There are two reasons for this: 1) your pet’s safety is of the utmost importance and 2) many cities have leash laws.
The good news is that I’m able to edit out leashes in my computer software! I’ll show you ways you can hold the leash to make this even easier! Most of the images I’ve taken on my website have had leashes removed in post processing.
Yes! For these sessions I suggest taking part in a “Legacy Session”. 20% of your total purchase for Legacy sessions will be donated to an animal rescue of your choice. You will be given top priority when it comes to scheduling.
Legacy sessions can be held in a park or one of your favorite spots. However I do encourage you to consider your home since that is where your fur baby is probably the most comfortable.
Portrait sessions take place on weekends only. If you prefer a session during a weekday a upcharge fee will be added to your session total. However consultations and image reveal appointments may take place either on weekends or weekday evenings.
Your fur baby's comfort is our top priority, and it is important to me that you have a personalized experience from our very first contact. I would love to speak with you and answer any questions you have.
