A: First fill out an inquiry contact form when you click “BOOK NOW” next to the types of sessions. If you prefer you can call me at 814-746-6547 or just send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. In order to reserve your preferred session date and time, your non-refundable session retainer must be paid in full..
A: Absolutely! I love capturing the love between pets and their people! While I do include family members in your photos, please know that your fur baby will be the star!
A: No, you don’t have to be in the photos! However, I do recommend stretching outside your comfort zone and joining in; pet parents are often pleasantly surprised!
I have a lot of ideas in which pet parents are “in but not in” the photo. For example, clients often love images with their dog’s head peeking over their shoulder during a hug!
A: While most of my work focuses on cats and dogs I will certainly photograph any pet! All pets deserve a proper portrait!
A: No worries! I have experience photographing dogs of all energy levels and obedience levels. I’m super patient and have several tricks up my sleeve to get your pet to look at the camera. We will definitely be able to get a range of fun shots that showcase your pet’s personality and soul shine!
A: A pre-session consultation is a complimentary no obligation consultation. The consultation can take place in person or over the phone/Face Time. If after the consultation you choose not go forward with booking, then no sweat! Topics discussed during the consultation include: your pet’s story, location ideas, expectations, special requests, and package options.
A: This does not keep me from being able to get beautiful images of your fur baby.During our session my TOP priority is your pets’ comfort and safety. I am very patient and let your pet set the pace of the session. I have tricks that can get your pets’ attention (ex: visual toys to get attention, extra smelly treats, and noise makers).
A: Yes! For these sessions I suggest taking part in a “Legacy Session”. 20% of your total purchase for Legacy sessions will be donated to an animal rescue of your choice. You will be given top priority when it comes to scheduling.
Legacy sessions can be held in a park or one of your favorite spots. However I do encourage you to consider your home since that is where your fur baby is probably the most comfortable.
A: Yes, absolutely! In fact for on location sessions I will insist that your dog is on a leash. There are two reasons for this: 1) your pet’s safety is of the utmost importance and 2) many cities have leash laws.
The good news is that I’m able to edit out leashes in my computer software! I’ll show you ways you can hold the leash to make this even easier! Most of the images I’ve taken on my website have had leashes removed in post processing.
A: Sessions can take place in a location of your choice in the triangle area. This can include your home, dog friendly businesses, urban areas, and local parks. If you aren’t sure, no worries! I have plenty of suggestions for you!
During our consultation we will discuss locations that fit the style and look you have for your photos. Any driving distance outside of 45 minutes from my home will incur an extra fee.
A: I would recommend to book as soon as possible to get your preferred date. Sessions may book a few weeks in advance or up to a few months. For example, if you know you will want an autumn session then you are able to book well ahead of time.
If you are needing to book a session sooner due to a pets’ illness or aging then i recommend booking a Legacy Session. These sessions are given top priority in terms of scheduling.
A: Portrait sessions take place on weekends only. If you prefer a session during a weekday a upcharge fee will be added to your session total. However consultations and image reveal appointments may take place either on weekends or weekday evenings.
A: Approximately 3 weeks after your session we will meet at my home for your amazing image reveal and ordering appointment. It’s so exciting to see the results of our fun-filled session! During this appointment I will help you choose your favorite images and discuss how you want to display your images in your home.
I will have samples of artwork and guide you through your decision in picking just what you love for your home! Please make sure all individuals involved in the ordering decisions are at this appointment.
A: I use session retainers instead of session fees. A session fee is when you are charged a set fee for the session and nothing is included. However I use a non-refundable session retainer fee which has two benefits: 1) it reserves your preferred day and time when paid and 2) the amount paid converts toward a package credit of your choice. Packages include a wide range of products such as digital images, album blocks, signature wall art, albums, and more!
A: Each package includes a combination of products and digital files. This way you get the best of both worlds (digital and print)! Additionally for each signature wall piece you will receive the accompanying high resolution digital file.
Paws Fur Joy Photography focuses on creating beautiful artwork available in many different styles and finishes that compliment your decor. Many times digital files end up in a drawer on a USB drive or sitting in a file on a computer. Your pet deserves to shine in beautiful artwork around your home!
A:There is no minimum amount required; however you can expect to invest at least $500 (plus tax) on your session.
A: You may be familiar with traditional “shoot and burn” photographers in which you are required to purchase all of the images before you even view them! With Paws Fur Joy Photography you will be treated to a viewing and ordering appointment in which your images will be revealed to you in a slide show.
I will guide you through the process so you can choose your favorites to transform into beautiful artwork for your home.
A: I understand that it can be difficult to invest a significant amount of money at one time. During your consultation meeting we can discuss a no interest payment plan that makes sense for you. You would receive your images/artwork after your total is paid in full.
A: Your retainer fee is non-refundable. However if we need to reschedule due to weather or unforeseen circumstances we can decide on a date that works for both of us. For the new date you DON”T need to provide another retainer fee. If you can’t reschedule and would prefer to cancel, then the retainer fee is non-refundable. If your pet passes away prior to the session then your retainer fee would be refunded.
I make every effort to discuss your expectations and requests prior to the portrait sessions. However If you are not satisfied with the photos then we can schedule a reshoot at no additional cost to you!
